Blues On The Green

Remember "Celebration Sunday" during the Monton Festival, with an audience that was literally dancing in the aisles and pews. Well as a post festival event we are putting together some of the musicians that appeared in the Monton Festival into a single night at Monton Unitarian Church on Monton Green, 24th October 7.30pm

Precious People Voices Gospel Choir
Malcolm McBride - "The Mississipi Soul Man"
Eccles College Jazz Funk Band
Irwell Delta Blues Collective - made up of musicians playing from the best of Northern Blues Bands

Tickets will be on sale at Work & Play and on the Monton Music Fest website. www.montonmusicfest.com. Tickets are £5.00 and £3.00 concessions

The 2008 Monton Music Fest is over - now for 2009

Well the Festival is over and we have tremendous had feedback the the event should continue so now we are looking forward to 2009. We will soon set the dates for next year and we are already looking at which events we would like to book.
... but we are not waiting for 2009. We will be staging some other events in the meantime. Watch this space.

Manchester Chorale tonight

The festival officially opens tonight. The Manchester Chorale are singing at the Unitarian Church. Tickets will also be available at the door
